Mathias Bothor – Mediterranean
On behalf of the mare publishing house, the Berlin photographer Mathias Bothor was searching for the essence of the Mediterranean, and he found it in the faces of the inhabitants of his shores. For four years he traveled to the countries of the Mediterranean and created portraits of people and landscapes. Their simple beauty helps to better understand the foreign, other, what stirs us up these days. Mathias Bothor, born in Berlin in 1962, became self-employed as a freelance photographer in 1992 and is today one of the most popular portrait photographers. His works have already been exhibited several times. mare most recently published his highly praised illustrated book Brittany (2009).
Mathias Bothor lives with his family in Berlin and works everywhere.
